Excess violations

In order to assure a reasonable performance level for the diverse computer operating environments of our Citizens, it is unfortunately necessary to restrict the quantity of objects, action commands, and the file size of graphic and sound files that citizens use in their builds. Please remember that each and every command utilized in the action line of objects, creates a greater demand on the operating systems of those who come within range of your property!

When excessive amounts of objects are used, the problem is compounded when action commands, or sound or graphic files are applied to objects, as the performance level of people is further reduced by the need to download this data. This not only effects visitors within range of your build, but your neighbors as well. No one wants to visit, build, or live in an area that they have difficulty moving around in, or where they are subjected to the downloading of large files. If you find that visitors are reluctant to visit your building site, then you are most likely in excess violation of the Building Code.

It is important to remember, that the Galaxy is a web fed environment, which requires each user to download object data to their individual file cache, in order to interact with the particular area that they have in visibility range. Due to the tremendous diversity of individual computer operating systems and internet connections, it is impossible to recreate an exact facsimile of a "real life" scene or building project. Attempts to do so, may lead the builder into serious Building Code violations which can result in the demolition and deletion of their properties, as well as possibly resulting in the builder being banned from the Galaxy.

On some Planets, the excessive use of objects and action commands in building has forced the disabling of these rights entirely, in order to cope with individuals who do not use simple common sense and consideration for others in their building projects. Again, it is important to remember that people in the Galaxy must download this content from the internet, and that the performance levels of their individual computer systems are diverse.

The excessive use of objects, and/or action commands in volume, is defined and determined by significant reduction of frame rate when coming in contact with individual or mass object data. Building Inspector bots and ground crews dispatched from the Building Inspector's office routinely scan and inspect building areas and indicate to Universe or Planetary Administrators where problematic situations may exist, so that PlanetVirtuel can better provide a basic level of performance for all users.

Do not claim land in multiple areas, and do not claim land in excess of the Building Code. Do not use excessive volumes of objects in your building projects. Graphic files that are applied to objects are not to exceed 13k in size, and sound files are not to exceed 13k in size. If you are unaware of the specific file size, or are unable to assure that the file sizes are compliant with the Planetary Building Code, then simply do not use imported graphic or sound files in your building project. Objects or builds that do not conform to the Building code, and/or contain references to files that exceed these limits, are subject to automatic deletion without notice by the Demolition Bots.

Please use common sense and consideration for others, when using these features.
